75 years ago, Stephen L. Nelson’s father opened his law office in St. Paul.  Over 50 years ago, he moved his office to Snelling and University in the Midway area of St. Paul. Before he went to law school, attorney Stephen Nelson earned an undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. To become an estate planning attorney, he couldn’t have chosen a better field of study.

When lawyer Stephen Nelson graduated college, he went to work with his father, first as a clerk, and after earning his law degree he became an attorney and partner.

Stephen L. Nelson & Associates is still in the same building he occupied for 50 years. We’re still just north of University Avenue on Snelling Avenue, in the reddish brown brick building with the rounded corner.
